“In the same way let your light shine before men that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:16 Your Church can Partner with Habitat NWHC:
1. Participate in a Faith Build
· Faith Builds are a simple way for all churches within our community to be committed to building a home for a deserving family. There are two simple requirements for participating in a Faith Build- 1. Give a donation that is meaningful to your congregation to Habitat NWHC. 2. Commit to sending a group of volunteers from your church to at least one day of the build schedule. The number of churches participating in a Faith Build is dependent upon the size of each donation received by area churches. To participate in a Faith Build, contact Rachael Wright at development@habitatnwhc.org
2. Nominate a Goodwill Ambassador
· Habitat NWHC has an active Church Relations Committee that meets bi-monthly. This group of active parishioners serves as goodwill ambassadors between their church and Habitat NWHC. By attending the meetings and reading emails and other materials that are sent out they keep their church informed about the work of Habitat NWHC within the community. For more information about the Church Relations Committee contact Rachael Wright at development@habitatnwhc.org
3. Work, Work, Work
· Send a group to volunteer for one of the many projects Habitat NWHC has underway. For information on both group and individual volunteer opportunities, please contact MaryGrace Hendon at volunteer@habitatnwhc.org
4. Be a Prayer Warrior
· Habitat NWHC needs your prayers as well. The following are a few prayer requests that we ask you to keep in mind. 1. The safety of our volunteers. 2. Our homeowners as they work their way through the Habitat NWHC process. 3. Funds to build houses and 4. The acceptance of a Habitat NWHC community by the neighbors surrounding it.
