Habitat for Humanity Northwest Harris County has committed to being a leader in long-term repair efforts. Our Home Repair Department partners with volunteers, donors, and homeowners in the community to help repair homes. We believe that everyone deserves a decent and safe place to live.
We offer home repair services to homeowners so they can continue to live in safe, decent homes for years to come. Some of our home repair work includes painting, landscaping, weatherization and minor repair services to preserve home exteriors and revitalize neighborhoods.

Critical Home Repair
Extensive interior or exterior work performed to address health and safety issues or code violations. Critical home repair includes such activities as a change to, or repair of, materials or components; a reconfiguration of space; a modification for accessibility; installation or extension of plumbing, mechanical or electrical systems on an existing structure. Currently not accepting applications at this time.
Home Repair Application Process
Call us at 281-477-0460 and ask for Valorie or Jarvas. They will talk to you about your repair needs and determine if your project scope fits the criteria of our program and if partnership is possible.
- Complete and return the application. The information we collect from you includes your income, expenses, assets, property information and your permission for us to perform a credit check. You must provide us with all the requested documentation in order to be eligible.
- Participate in a home visit by our Repair Coordinator. Your application will be reviewed and the project scope will be assessed.
- Eligible applications are forwarded to our Project Support Specialist to be considered for approval. You will be notified as of the outcome of your application and, pending approval, the timeline of your repair project.
